Traveler's Medical Service

Founded in 1985, the Travelers Medical Service is Palm Beach county's oldest and most experienced source of international travel advice and care. You will be seen by a board- certified Infectious Disease physician who will review your medical history and medications as well as your exact travel itinerary to assess location specific risks. We provide the following services:


  • Vaccinations: Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis. Typhoid, Cholera, Influenza, Meningococcal, Polio, Japanese Encephalitis, Rabies as appropriate. We will also provide you with a WHO International Certificate of Vaccination.

  • Malaria: Risk assessment, mosquito bite prevention advice and prescriptions for medications to prevent malaria. 

  • Disease Prevention Education: Food and Water Precautions, prescription for Travelers Diarrhea treatment, Altitude and Motion Sickness preventive medicine, sun protection, motor vehicle accident prevention. We will discuss a First Aid kit as appropriate.


Make your appointment as soon as your travel plans are set. (4-6 weeks before departure is optimal). Remember to make sure your passport is up-to-date! We are also available for diagnosis and treatment for any post travel related illnesses.
